Cross Cultural Training

Adjusting to living in any new culture is always a challenge – but it presents a fantastic opportunity to learn about another country’s customs and habits. Indonesia is so unique, with its motto of ‘unity in diversity’; and this holds true in Jakarta – you will experience a rich new culture living here. To help you get used to how things are done, EMC Relocations can provide training on topics such as:

  • Safety
  • Dos and Don’ts
  • Tipping
  • Bargaining
  • Bridging the gap between eastern and western cultures
  • Etiquette at work

As ever with EMC services, the programme can be adapted to suit your requirements. For example, if you live in the northern or western part of Jakarta, you will probably need to learn a little bit of Chinese culture because there are populations of Indonesian’s of Chinese-descent living in these areas. Or perhaps if you prefer to shop in a local, traditional market rather than the modern supermarket, you will need to adapt with how things are done here, too!

The Cross Cultural Training is of course also catered to the needs of doing business in Indonesia, and communicating in a business like environment.
